“IT’S CONTEST TIME!” That means the 4 biggest Karaoke singing competitions of the year are about to begin. And this year they will be bigger and better than ever!
ATTENTION! All of the qualifying rounds for the Crème de la Kids, Crème de la Tributes, and Crème de la King singing competitions will take place at Historic Main Street in Garden Grove, presented by the Garden Grove Downtown Business Association. Karaoke Scene is proud to welcome Historic Main Street to our KaraokeFest singing contests and look forward to a long time relationship with them in future years. Historic Main Street has provided a great venue for these contests and we thank them for all of their support and cooperation.

The qualifying rounds for the Crème de la Kids, Crème de la Tributes, and Crème de la King competitions, held in conjunction with the Local Harvest Farmers Market, will all take place on July 30th, August 6th, 13th & 20th (all Sundays). This year 5 (five) finalists will be chosen each week for the Kids & Tributes contests, and 3 each week for the King contest) to compete at KaraokeFest 2017 (no semi-finals). Details on page 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12.
The ever popular, crowd pleasing Crème de la Kids competition (for kids 17 years old and younger) returns with a brand new crop of extremely talented juniors, as well as returning veterans, ready to entertain and excite all in attendance. Details on page 9.
Crème de la Tributes, born 2 years ago, will be back with a vengeance! If you sing (and/or) look like any popular singing star or character, WE WANT YOU! Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks, Whitney Houston, Tom Jones. Luther Vandross, Janis Joplin, Stevie Wonder, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, George Strait, Reba McEntire, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Cher, Madonna, Bon Jovi, the list is endless. This is one of the most fun and exciting events we have ever staged at any KaraokeFest. Tribute singers, come on out and show everybody your stuff! Details on page 10 & 11.
If you look and/or sound like Elvis, then the Crème de la King contest is for you! It’s time to get out and strut your “King” stuff at this year’s Crème de la King competition. 3 (three) finalists will be chosen each week to compete at the finals (no semi-finals). Details on page 12.
The finals for our spectacular Crème de la King (Elvis) contest will take place on Historic Main Street at the 18th Annual Elvis Festival on Sunday, August 27th.
KaraokeFest 2017 will happen on Saturday, September 16th at the fabulous L.A. County Fair in Pomona. All of the exciting details for KaraokeFest 2017 will be available at KaraokeScene.com and in our coming August/September issue.
And, of course, Karaoke Scene Magazine proudly presents the mother and father of all Karaoke singing contests, the highly prestigious Crème de la Crème singing competition that will be held at 15 venues throughout Southern California beginning on July 3rd and continuing through the month of August and into September. And this year, 2 males and 2 females will qualify at each Club Final round to greatly increase your odds of making it to the Finals at KaraokeFest. Don’t miss your chance to compete for thousands in cash and prizes, your opportunity to perform on the main stage at KaraokeFest 2017 and be named “Male or Female Karaoke Vocalist of the Year.”
Many of you will remember that previous winners have gone on to appear on national television, win huge bucks and even make it to American Idol. Who knows what could happen this year? You could be next!
We are so pleased to welcome back radio & television personality (and now author), Manny Pacheco, who will be coordinating this exciting event again this year. And remember, you may qualify at as many venues as you wish in order to increase your chances for making the “Finals” at KaraokeFest 2017. All three contest “Finals” at KaraokeFest (“Crème,” “Kids,” and “Tributes”) will be streamed live to our website, KaraokeScene.com so that anyone, anywhere in the world, can enjoy the program. What a great opportunity for the families and friends of contestants as well as other Karaoke enthusiasts who cannot make it to KaraokeFest to be able to watch the show as it happens.
