Hello Kids,
For mothers Day my two wonderful daughters, Michelle and Nicole, bought me three tickets to go see the musical Hairspray
next Saturday. For that reason I have dug out my old HAIRSPRAY numbers so I can practice. LOL!! Hey ya never know they may need a
substitute. Just Kidding of course. LOL!!This was the first song from the opening of the Movie. I used a Stage Stars backing track
so I had to be my own Back-up Singers too. I was exhausted running from microphone to microphone, not to mention the costume changes. LOL!!
I told my daughters I am gonna sing along with every song and they have threatened to leave me home. LOL! I know we are going to have
a blast. Last time we went to a show it was WICKED and that was so great. I am getting so excited. Eeeeeeeeek!! LOL!! Thank you all for

Hi Pam, well I'm guessing you've already seen the show last night & you were probably singing every song with them word for word. Personally I have not seen the show or the movie but I'm thrilled for you to have had a night out in Chi-town & thanks for bringing a little of the show to my ears this Memorial day weekend! Very fun, Pam!! I sure enjoyed hearing it. I don't know the music that well for this one but I think I have heard that song before. That is so great that they got you tickets! Clearly you raised them right... |

Oh Lady Pam, I envy you , to be able to go see 'Hairspray', my brother performed in Hairspray many years ago and I loved it, and love it more with your chosen song. Hi Pam..sounds like your daughters are just as wonderful as my two daughters:-)A new song for me...and I must say only to know what hairspray is..you know...the spray for your hair, and still it doesn't do the trick to look good..lol..You did a super good sing here girl...I soooo enjoyed hearing this from you. Oh and have a great Hairspray thang...but you must behave!!!..lol... |
Reply: Hairspray is a musical. It was a movie a few years back and I loved it. The music was fun and so I ended up doing a few of them. What a nice gift from your girls, Pam! I know you're excited because you like singing show tunes. This was such a cute sing and it had to be even more fun recording the backing vocals, too. |
Reply: Yeah I like my girls. LOL!! Guess I will spring for dinner before. I really had a lot of fun doing back up vocals. You are one of the few that would understand. I know you double track a lot.
