KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Connie performs Head Over Feet on Karaoke Showcase - "Head over Feet" is a song written by Alanis Morissette and Glen Ballard, and produced by Ballard for Morissette's third album, Jagged Little Pill (1995). It was released as the album's fifth single (sixth in the United States) in 1996 (see 1996 in music) and presented a softer sound than the previous singles from the album. "Head over Feet" became Morissette's first number-one hit on Billboard's U.S. Adult Top 40 chart and topped the Top 40 Mainstream chart, but it was her first song not to enter the top 20 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart. In the United Kingdom, it was her first top ten single, and it reached the top 20 in Australia. Thanks for listening to my new recording.

Mark Cheetah Hey Connie! I had to go back & have a listen to this one too! I love this song (although it brings back bad memories for me about a failed relationship a long time ago). You sang that catchy melody to perfection! Like I mentioned on "Hand in my Pocket," you did a fabulous job emulating Alanis Morissette's style of singing. Excellent! Hey, if the Anatomy Challenge had a winner, it'd be you! Lots of great songs subbed! Very nicely done!
Reply: Hey, thanks for listening to this one, too, Mark! Awww, too bad this brings back some bad memories for you. Songs do that to me, too, except the songs are from the 70's lol I love this song, it's just really fun to sing. I like to mimic Alanis a little bit, just like I do Delores O'Riordan. :) It's another one I haven't sung in a long time and is probably recorded on an old cassette tape. :)

Suzanne Lanoue It really sounds like Alanis, too. Sounding great on this, Connie!
Reply: Thank you, Suzanne. Yeah, sometimes I try to put a little "Alanis" in some of the words.:)

Footelady The phrase head over feet caught my attention , Connie, so I paid good attention to the lyrics which, by the way, took some careful work to sing so beautifully. My last name being Foote often brought out comments from the kids in school where I taught. I have six children so I often heard them saying here comes Mrs. Foote and her six feet !! Giggles of course, followed. Glad to hear your lovely song. Thank you. Irene
Reply: Hi Irene, Hey, having you here to listen to us makes you part of the anatomy challenge. LOL Funny about your kids in school. Six kids? Wow, two boys were plenty for me. lol Thank you so much for listening to me again, I appreciate it. :)

johanna Hi Connie, never ever heard this one before, and I am thanking you for the introducing. You sound terrific...so bright and clear...and such a terrific recording/mix. Wow !!
Reply: Thanks so much, Johanna. It's good to get feedback on my mix, too, since I just went to a different software for recording with HP Windows 7. :)
