KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - DonnWeinberg performs Dontcha Go Away Mad on Karaoke Showcase - The actual name of this song is "Don'cha Go 'Way Mad," but you can't use punctuation when listing the song title, which would have made titling this song awkward. The writers are Jimmy Mundy and Illinois Jacquet (music) and Al Stillman (lyrics). Written in 1950 and first performed that year by Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra recorded it once, in 1962. The arranger was Neal Hefti. Great music. I'm singing over the Sinatra recording with vocal elimination and the key reduced two steps. The song is about a husband or boyfriend begging for forgiveness, shall we say "disingenuously", from his wife or girlfriend. You see, the guy had a fling with her cousin, who came on to him. He really has to beg on this one, but he's not that convincing. What do you think? Ladies, would you forgive him? : ) -- Donn

DEE DONN your Vocal remover is fantastic, what program do you use, I use Audobe Auditon n it doesn't always remove the whole song, and sometimes you can hear the original voice. YOUR songs are fabulous indeed. You're certainly one of a kind and love and adore each piece:) Love, DEExox
Reply: Dee, thank you. I use the "Vogone" program that is one of several programs offered at MTU.com. I have the suite of programs that includes Vogone; Keywrite (allows changing key); Songverter (allows changing format of a song to fit needs); a program that allows importing, exporting, burning karaoke CDs/DVDs; and a program that allows assembling everything into a karaoke-formatted file that can play on a karaoke player.
