I heard it on the radio and at first didn't believe it. I made a few calls and no one else knew yet and then heard it again on the radio. I told my sister, who was always "in love" with Elvis and even saw him when he came to Duluth. She was devastated and cried for hours. I learned to appreciate him even more as I grew older. He was a special talent. However, in today's music world, there never would have even BEEN an Elvis. The music inductry now is terrible. You caught that magic he had when he sang it! I cried so much when Elvis dies that I got sick of using kleenex and started catching them in a jar. I still have it and there are a few tablespoons of tears...I looked all swollen splotchy and red that people thought someone in my family had died.
