KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Keepinitcntry performs Carry On on Karaoke Showcase - Carry On in 1970 is the first song on the album Déjà Vu, by the recording act Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Written by Stephen Stills, this song was released as the B-side of "Teach Your Children", and went on to receive steady airplay of its own from AOR radio stations. When nearing the end of the recording sessions for Déjà Vu, Graham Nash told Stephen Stills that they still didn't have an opening track. Many recording acts or producers prefer to start an album with a particularly catchy song, in order to set the mood and encourage listeners who are checking it out for the first time. Stills took two songs — (one being the song Questions[1] he'd written for and recorded with Buffalo Springfield), and edited them together with parts of a jam session from a few days earlier, to produce one finished piece. The song is noted for the Bridge section that makes a transition from a faster to slower tempo, with the lyric lines sung in Acapella: "Carry on,/ Love is coming, All vocals by Me.

Rich101 Good Morning Mark and love your song here!!! You really got some terrific harmonies and sounds going on here!! You have really done an amazing performance here!!! AND.. so wonderful to have this site up and working again!! Have a terrific Sunday!! RICH
Reply: Hi Rich. This was tough because it had no real main melody to work from when adding more vocals. I actually sat on this one for a month cause I wasn't happy with it. Anyway, I decided our pay is pretty cheap here. To let it go! Thanks for all your support Rich. ~Mark~

Abbygail25 Good morning Mark! Excellent harmonies always from you..It's a lot of hard work to bring this wonderful sound together..great listen today!
Reply: Hi Gail... You are so right. Sometimes we pick songs that are so familiar and come right to us but C,S,N & Y are always challenging like Simon & Garfunkel. I sure appreciate your time and support. TY!!!~Mark~
