KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Starlyter - Brad performs Is It Still Over on Karaoke Showcase - Yes, this is last of my covers of Randy Travis songs for a while but sure hope you enjoyed listening to his many hits by yours truly. This one was co-written by Ken Bell and Larry Henley and recorded by Randy Travis. It was released in January 1989 as the third single from his album, Old 8x10. The single was his ninth as well as his seventh consecutive number 1 hit in the United States. It peaked at number 1 on both the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and the Canadian RPM country Tracks chart. This song was also featured in National Treasure: Book of Secrets in the scene at Mount Vernon. As most of you already know, Randy had a devastating stroke years ago which left him with very little speech capabilities. In the memory of his many vocal accomplishments, this song is dedicated to him.

mav2100 This song is sooooo cute! I love the lyrics. So entertaining and although we should be crying for your heartbreak, all we can do is smile and tap our foot. I may have to get this old Chair dancing. There must be a special category for this Ironic type of music. Yeeeee haw!!! You were born to sing Randy Travis tunes! Your New York Country is still showing! This is definitely a keeper Brad. You are a swinging and a twanging and owning this one start to finish. Love, love, love this! We can shuffle across the Tiki-Bar floor all night long with you singing R.T.s entire catalog! I am certain our amazing Mixologist already has something mixed up for us! Standing Ovation From Up North!!! You Swing, Sweet Brad!! Keep em coming! Mwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Pam
Reply: New York country twang? Guess the folks up there, who by the way don't know what twang is, probably would stand there with a puzzled look to say the least. So glad to here you dragged out the dancing chair, although using one with casters is considered cheating. Did you know that? Best you just grab a partner instead of the chair and swing that 2-step out onto the Tiki floor. Thank you Pam for the very kind comment on my RT songs. Appreciate ya my friend...Brad
