This song is sooooo cute! I love the lyrics. So entertaining and although we should be crying for your heartbreak, all we can do is smile and tap our foot. I may have to get this old Chair dancing. There must be a special category for this Ironic type of music. Yeeeee haw!!! You were born to sing Randy Travis tunes! Your New York Country is still showing! This is definitely a keeper Brad. So glad to here you dragged out the dancing chair, although using one with casters is considered cheating. Did you know that? This one was co-written by Ken Bell and Larry Henley and recorded by Randy Travis. It was released in January 1989 as the third single from his album, Old 8x10. The single was his ninth as well as his seventh consecutive number 1 hit in the United States. It peaked at number 1 on both the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and the Canadian RPM country Tracks chart. This song was also featured in National Treasure: Book of Secrets in the scene at Mount Vernon.
As most of you already know, Randy had a devastating stroke years ago which left him with very little speech capabilities. In the memory of his many vocal accomplishments, this song is dedicated to him.
