I recall you mentioning that you record your singing with the backing track playing through your speakers. I would definitely have a go at using headphones to isolate the vocal from the backing, you can then use your DAW software to align the two files and treat them individually (e.g. one would generally use different types of reverb for VOX and instruments). It's a bit more work but it will result in a better mix. I would also consider investing in a large diaphragm condenser microphone; I use a Behringer C-1 - for an inexpensive mic it yields a pretty nice sound, and I almost never have problems with it pickig up unwanted background noise. In all, another great sing. This is a new song to me and I enjoyed it and your excellent rendition of it.
