Lord Burnstrum Welcome. The volume issue has already been mentioned but this does not subtract from what is an excellent performance of a great song. When recording I find it's much the best way to play the backing track through headphones and record the vocals in isolation. It makes things much easier to control when you get to mixing it on the DAW. Generally -6dB is a good level for a mix, and you can master it close to 0dB - I tend to set my masters to -1dB so there's virtually no chance of clipping wherever it is played. Hope this has been helpful, and you have a great voice.

Starlyter - Brad Welcome to the showcase. I have to agree with Grathy on the volume issue. How are you recording? To be sure, what little I could hear sounded pretty good. If we can be of any assistance on recording, just let me know. Again, welcome...Brad
Reply: Hi Brad,I see you are a seasoned participant so any advice will be welcome. I am using my desktop basic mic, using the onboard voice recorder whilst playing the karaoke music through the speakers. The recording is imported into my Pinnacle video program where I can add reverb and then export as a MP3 file.I am turning up the volume on the next submission (tomorrow.
