Grathy New song for me… I love it.
Reply: Hi Grathy, yea this song has been around a long time. A three chord progression that the lyrics from every blues rooted tune would roll up to easily, I'm betting. Thanks for the cool comment.

Lord Burnstrum I'm a big J.J. Cale fan so I knew this would be a grand listen. Just loved this performance from you Rik, cool arrangement and the layered vocals capture the essence of Cale very well. There's another version of this song out there that's well worth a listen, released in the last decade by "Eric Clapton & Friends" and samples J.J. Cale's original recording. The two of the had worked together previously with at least one joint album, and Clapton has covered many of Cale's songs, most notably "Cocaine". I hope you continue to share music of this quality for us!
Reply: Hello L.B. and thank you for listening and for the great comment. I love that you noticed the vocal layers and I do it quite often in my recordings. You are the first to comment on it though and thx for that. I am very familiar with the Clapton version as I am a huge Clapton fan. I think that recording shows just how much respect Clapton has for Cale and what better compliment could Cale ever hope to receive? It seems you and I share some music passions.

Rich101 Great song Rik..Love this version of it!! I am very familiar with the Lynyrd Skynyrd version although Cale is the original. This version is excellent as is your amazing performance!! You totally nailed this tune..RICH
Reply: Hiya Rich and thank you. You know there are a lot of people out there who think this is a Skynyrd song and have no knowledge of J.J. Cale and that's a shame because they are missing a lot of great music.
