KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Jerry performs Red Roses For A Blue Lady on Karaoke Showcase - A few days ago, I received a message from Joyce saying she had thought of two songs I might want to consider. So, about a day later, I messaged her asking what two songs. She forgot one but remembered the other was ‘Red Roses For A Blue Lady' that was a 1949 hit and a favorite on to this day. Most, if not all, the great crooners have recorded it. I told her that I recorded that song years ago but had not done anything with it because the arrangement I had was boring BUT that I was looking at two days before. So, I sent it to her, and WOW…she put it fire!! What a great artist she is, and I now love the song again. And, she has this mysterious ability to pick songs out of the blue that I need help with. This is the second time and now I’m sleeping with a flashlight and one opened eye---she must be going through my files late at night…LOL. Anyway, Joyce you’re truly a talented, gifted singing artist- AND-the keeper of another mysterious gift. Fantastic work Joyce on this formerly ‘boring’ song.

sanderman33 Nice Job...I love singing this song...My favorite version was by Wayne Newton.
Reply: It's a fine old classic whichever arrangement is used. Newton's is a whole step above my comfort. Thank you so much for your nice comment!
