KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - rendition performs Johnny B Goode on Karaoke Showcase - Well Let me say that Chuck Berry is a Legend in St Louis. I was fortunate to have been in his backup band couple times in his early years. Chuck was a one man show. He used back up groups as he traveled. Many movie theaters would have intermissions and the curtains would rise and there we were Ready to perform few songs. We did a country fair and This song is one that I really enjoyed watching and playing. Simple guitar picking with personality. No distortion effects ever needed. Johnny B is in my heart Chucks signature song. Here's to the original RocknRoll sound

Jerry My good friend, Floyd Dakil (his band), often opened for Mr. Berry. He told me that Mr. Berry got upset with him once for accidentally unplugging Mr. Berry's guitar. Floyd's band was leaving the stage and someone tripped on Mr. Berry's guitar chord, unplugging it just as he was coming on stage playing his guitar. Love this old classic and you've done a fine job bringing it back.
Reply: He was usually late and had at least 1 or 2 blondes with him. A statue of him is at a place called Blueberry Hill in St Louis. A special room where he performed is called "The Duck Room". Pete Rendition

DonnWeinberg Hi, Pete. Very authentic-sounding rendition, mr. rendition. -- Donn
Reply: Hi Donn: I see you go back a few years. My condolences to you on your wife recent passing. I lost a 19 year old son and know firsthand how the pain crumbles up the body. Gospel music was my pain pill for a long time. Now, singing the songs that I once did on stage is my pain pill. Let's hear from you more often, my friend. This place can once again start rockin with at least 100 active online singer members as it did several years ago. Thanks for stopping by. Pete Rendition.

mav2100 FABULOUS Air Guitar! When I listen with my eyes closed I can imagine you do a little Chuck Shuffle across the stage during the bridge. You are so Rocking this!! Great Energy! Great Song! Great Sing!! Go Petey Go! Mwahhhhhhhh, Pam
Reply: You are the best MAV. Chuck's strut across the stage is known as the "Duck walk". If I have the time, one day I might try doing some live karaoke recording with me at the Drums. This way I don't have to worry about mix sound adjustments. Pete Rendition

MichelJ Hi Sir, I remember this Hit I played with my band in bars and others occasions... A Hit that never goes out of style... You offer an amazing performance... Really enjoyed my listen... Michel...
Reply: Yep! As soon as the first 6 guitar notes on this play, the crowd jumped up in pure frenzy. Thanks for the comment MJ Pete Rendition
