By overwhelming popular demand, this year’s KaraokeFest will be held at the world famous Knott’s Berry Farm on Sunday, May 22nd. This exciting venue literally offers something for everyone. First and foremost, it’s KaraokeFest with all the trimmings including: multiple outdoor stages so everyone can sing all day long, the KaraokeFest Expo where you will find the latest and greatest in Karaoke products of all shapes sizes and kinds, and the main show in the Charles M. Schulz Theater where the Karaoke Golden Achievement Awards will be presented and the best of the best Karaoke singers will be competing for the title of Male & Female Vocalist of the Year. Wow…what a show! But that’s not all, your ticket also entitles you to all of Knott’s world class rides and attractions all day long…including the brand new Silver Bullet rollercoaster ride (you won’t believe this one)!
It will be quite a day as Knott’s hosts “the event that changed the face of Karaoke” this year. Let the voting begin! Voting for the 2005 Golden Achievement Awards begins February 1st and lasts until March 15th. Please take the time to vote for those individuals and venues you deem worthy of recognition. Only one vote per valid email address or two votes from an individual IP address will we accepted. The individuals and venues who work so hard to bring you quality Karaoke shows deserve your support. Your vote is very important so please use it wisely.
The greatest singing show on earth, the Crème de la Crème singing competition, begins on Monday, March 28th (the day after Easter Sunday). The qualifying rounds will be held at 22 venues in 5 counties throughout Southern California (including 6 new clubs). You may qualify at any or all venues to increase your chances in the “Club Finals” held at each venue where the finalists will be chosen to compete on the main stage at KaraokeFest 2005 for the coveted title of Male and Female Karaoke Vocalist of the Year. Who knows? This could be your year. We are very pleased to announce that the multi-talented, Shawn Parr of KZLA 93.9FM, will be back to host the event.
