SlcJohnD: Neil has a special place in my heart.. "Solitary Man" was the 1st song I sang in public, breaking my 30yr bout with stagefreight. Neil's songs are so comfortable, warm, powerful... and you sing all of them with such passion and style. Thank you for this post..
Reply: Thank you John...realy appreciate you poppin' in...ivan |

SlcJohnD: I agree with you. He was a very talented singer/songwriter. A simple, pure balladeer. I believe he would be honored to hear your performance. You certainly did him more than justice.

SlcJohnD: Nice job Suzanne. You nailed the vocal.. the technical aspect? It's ALL Greek to me.. lol At least you CAN do it.. Confuses the heck out of me..
Reply: Aw, thanks, John, so sweet of you to say. I know, I am very lazy about learning these things... |

SlcJohnD: Very lovely bird.... beautiful vocal.. This brings back beautiful memories.. Thank you, Lady. I didn't get to sing for my son. But now.. I sing for my grandaughters.. The little one, Alexa, is becoming so aware of her surroundings.
Reply: Thanks so much. I wish my kids still wanted me to sing to them. |

SlcJohnD: I'm green with envy.. or it's the mayo I left in the car too long? Naw, it's you. Awesome... in every way. technically, vocally, you've got it all..
Reply: Thanks, John. Gotta watch out for that bad mayo, right? |

SlcJohnD: I'm a big CSN fan... This was a big solo hit for Stephen. Later done by the band.. You did him & them proud.. great sing brother.
Reply: Thanks man I appreciate the props.
I never knew the band did this one.
Thanks for sharing that. |

SlcJohnD: You can hear the "echo" of the removal, but your impecable timing completely maskes any residue of origonal vocal.. You also have an awesome voice. I also have to agree regarding the backing track... For this genre, there's nothing like the big band sound.. Fantastic.
Reply: Thanks, John. This track was one of those that Vogone does a "good" job reducing. I find the best removals in the Sinatra recordings from 1962-70. -- Donn |
