I dont like duets I find them boring, not to mention that the average person singing with you will attempt to drown you out. Each to their own and If i went to Karaoke I wouldnt waste my song sharing it with anybody. Selfish you say, so be it when its my turn to sing i want to sing something for me and to share with the audience not another singer. My friends feel the same so nobody ever asks.

Michelle

I hate duets for just that reason, Michelle.

I had a singer get mad at me Sat night because I kept bumping her to the last of the rotation, or skipping over her. Well, she was singing with two or three other people... and drowning them out.

Finally, she had it, and came up yellin. I calmly told her she's MORE than getting her fair share singing. "If you want your normal turn, stop singing duets. You keep singing duets, you'll lose your place in the rotation!"

She tried to get me in trouble with the bar. They just told her to grow up, sit down, and wait her turn like everyone else! The look on her face was priceless, especially when other people told her to shut up and sit down too! I laughed so hard I thought my teeth were going to fall out!

Needless to say, her duet career suddenly stopped! LOL!

Matt
