Songbird37 Great job. This is one of my favorite EP tunes and you sound great. I am glad I backtracked to find it, thanks for sharing - Tonya

Suzanne Lanoue OK, you asked for critique, remember! If you don't really want it, please ignore this. I don't want anyone to have hurt feelings. Overall I think you have a very nice voice and I like that you put your own spin on this. However, at times, you're out of tune (a bit flat at the beginning), so it's hard to tell if you're deliberately singing it a different way than Elvis or if you just don't know that it goes a different way. It's easily fixed, though. Just spend some more time listening to the original and then figure out where you're a little under pitch and fix it. Or just be more definite about your notes. Now, I'm sure this sounds great in live karaoke where they can't really hear the voice all that well. But here in a recording, our voices stick out more, so notes that are under-pitch are more noticeable. So, if you plan to sing this one live, go for it.
Reply: I appreciate that. Not that I am daring to sound like Elvis or anybody else. I do spin a bit, and I do not really study a song, probably like I should. The bottom line is I tend to sing a bit flat, particularly in the morning. Again, thank you for your feedback. It is helpful.

Trex One of my favorite EP songs. I've been to his old home in MS, then drove up to Graceland to see where he lived til he died. He had a very interesting life & many blessings along the way. His friend Charlie told us he had cancer when he passed away & that the cancer was the reason he had to take so much medication. Sadly the media back then made it look like he died from the drugs rather than letting anyone know about the real cause. We visited Charlie several times before he passed away, Elvis no doubt had a great friend!! Really enjoyed this!!
Reply: How wonderful is that to have such a connection? Thank you, Dreamer.
