I was a solo artist with a country music show that had been continuously operating nearly as long as the Grand Ol' Opry. We had a 9 member band and three back up singers and between 800-1,000 in the audience every Saturday night. Most of the band were multi Grammy winners. This is the same show where The Dixie Chicks, Steve Holy, Box Car Willie and LeAnn Rimes got their start. They were on the show for many years. Well, when the owner, who is in the Texas country music hall of fame, held open auditions I've heard him say many times, 'If don't have IT by now, you're never going to get IT.' The show is now closed and he's passed on. But if he had heard you, he'd have said, 'You got IT, welcome to the show!' Great singing, recording and mix. I hope you get on a live show (not Karaoke) sometime soon. |
Reply: Jerry I can't tell you how much I really appreciate all of the kind words. I don't have a lot of time to devote here due to work, but it is always an enjoyment for me to get on here. Singing and recording at home for me is something I have loved doing for years, and I just couldn't imagine being able to do something I love so much for a living. Wouldn't that be awesome? I always appreciate the time you take to listen, and thanks so much for the compliments you give me!! |
