"Young at Heart" is a pop standard, a ballad with music by Johnny Richards and lyrics by Carolyn Leigh. The song was written and published in 1953. Frank Sinatra was the first performer to record the song, which became a million-selling hit in 1953 (and spilling over with popularity into 1954). The song was such a hit that a movie that Sinatra was filming at the same time with Doris Day was renamed to the song title, and the song was included in the opening and closing credits of the movie, which was released as Young at Heart. The song has also been used on the soundtracks of other films, including It Could Happen to You, The Front, Sweet Dreams, and Space Cowboys.
Other performers - include Jimmy Durante, Connie Francis, Perry Como, Gloria Estefan, Tony Bennett, Rosemary Clooney.

Always good to listen to you Monica:-) I am not familiar with this song, or actually with none of this genre. I would have a problem singing such a song..duh...but obviously you didn't. Sounding good girl ! |

PS i was in your country in September last year in Antwerpen. It is a beautiful city which i love and took loads of photos. It is a big pity that so many bad things going on now (terror) so that we all feel unsafe, also travelling. A real shame. |

Reply: Hi my friend, have not been on here lately as am taking down walls and doing floors etc. Renovation. So only seldomly on the internet. I sang this three times and have difficulty keeping them apart although i thought one of them better than the others and less quiver, but only some days. Its my hearing. thanks for coming to listen. I appreciate Joyce. A listen to you now and then bed as it is 02.46 here!! And have to get up early. See you. |

It is important to stay young at heart Nica. So this wonderful song transports a message which is essential for all of us. And the way you interpreted this great song was simply fantastic. You did the artists truly justice who sang it too before and you may be added to the list in your song description above.
