KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Mark Cheetah performs Teasin Pleasin on Karaoke Showcase - HAPPY METAL MONDAY!! This song wasn't on karaoke, so I had Eric Hill (EricHillMusic.com, lifeaftersix.com) make me a backing, and he totally rocked it out. I hope I did, too... because this song was REALLY difficult to sing. The part at 1:49 gave me fits! LOL Thanks for listening! ***Dangerous Toys is an Austin, Texas-based hard rock band with often humorous lyrics. Founded in 1987, Dangerous Toys put out four full-length albums and one live album before unofficially disbanding at the turn of the millennium. Their major label debut, Dangerous Toys, released in May, 1989, featured the singles "Teas'n, Pleas'n" and "Scared". The album was certified as a Gold Record by RIAA in 1994***

Suzanne Lanoue Fabulous singing as always, Mark. Happy Happy :) How are your eyes doing? Why don't you sing in a band? Too bad you don't live here, I know a band that was looking for a good singer to do metal.
Reply: Hey Suz, thanks for stopping by & listening! My eyes aren't good; it's one of the reasons I'm not in a band these days. The doctors say I shouldn't lift anything heavier than 10 or 15 pounds, so carrying & setting up equipment is out of the question. I'm getting a shot in the eye every 5 or 6 weeks these days, and that's a real pain too. Thanks for asking! I appreciate the compliments!

tagacebu That was BAD.....Beyond Awesome Dude!
Reply: That's a cool anagram! Wait, that's not what it's called... I'm thinking of, shoot, I don't know! LOL Thanks so much for listening... I appreciate the compliments!

MJK Could I call that metal scat singing I heard? Good god man, I was trying to emulate Cab Calloway's scatting on "Minnie the Moocher" this evening and gave up in disgust! But listen to you go, man oh man! You know, I don't know HOW you pull this off, but you keep topping yourself over and over again! Seven or eight years ago when I found this place, you were excellent then--today, well, you're off the scale, and I mean that! OUTSTANDING in all ways this was (and again, man oh man!!) (PS: Hahahahahahaha--just read Joyce's remarks; Joyce that was a wonderful compliment, thanks!)
Reply: Oh, heck Michael... I've heard you do LOTS of great scatting from you before; don't sell yourself short! I think I caught lightning in a bottle there; you couldn't pay me to try and record this song all over again. LOL I'm glad you got a kick out of it... thanks for stopping by (and for the nod of approval)!

Reply: Thanks again, Michael... I tried to delete the duplicate comment but it wouldn't let me. Heck, seeing as how comments are in such short supply these days, I'll keep it! LOL

Cantstopsinging Ay! It's done...My 1st time hearing this and seriously, you're sounding like Robert Plant but with far more Control.. (listening as I type) oh yea, I am laughing.. with the spoken part and then..wait, I gotta have another listen after this with all the changes and most of the the Scat of all Scats and the rhythm changes, Eric had to go through- well, that's his grand aptitude.. I can hear why this took you a while..( on 2nd listen) I can't get enough of that rock scat..Like MJK on steroids ( that's a compliment to Michael) and then the stammering part reminded me of Janis Joplin.. This has to be a top 5'er for you.. Dang, you need an award for such pristine engineering.. nuff said
Reply: Thanks, Joyce! Yeah, this thing took me forever to get it recorded... and, of course I'm STILL not happy with it, lol! The vocals are too quiet at :52 in... I just got done fixing it & I'll use that new mix the next time I decide to post this thing somewhere. That's what I get for trying to beat the Metal Monday deadline! Yeah, that scat part was NOT easy, and I'm lucky I even got it close. I like the stammering part, too; thanks SO much for the compliments! I appreciate the detailed review!
