The artist formerly known as Cat Stevens recorded an acoustic version of "The Wind" as the opening track for his 1971 album Teaser And The Firecat. As Yusuf, he revisited the song much later with an a capella rendition supplemented with howling wind sound effects. I have tried to incorporate elements of both these versions in my own take on this song. By the way, the wind effect on here was made entirely by me blowing into my microphone! SIDENOTE: This is my first contribution to the Showcase since surpassing the 1 year anniversary of my very first submission. Where has the time gone?
