KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - DEE performs Fly Away on Karaoke Showcase - Hello everyone. Hope all is well with you. I've had to go for many tests and have another test coming up on Feb.24th and not anxious for this one. Plus I've had the flu and took me for a loot. Feeling better, but still feel some effects from this flu. I have to admit, I've never had the flu like this before. But enough said about me. I sang this at the cathedral a few years ago doing a mini concert and thought you'd like to hear it.(Plus that's why there's a lot of echo-nothing you can do to get rid of the echo). Here from Wikipedia: '"Fly Away" is a 1975 song written and performed by John Denver, with Olivia Newton-John (uncredited) on backup vocals.[1] Released as a single from the Windsong album, "Fly Away" peaked at number thirteen on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and spent two weeks atop the adult contemporary chart in early-1976, Denver's sixth number one on this chart.[2] "Fly Away" also peaked at number twelve on the country chart.[3] The song is an ode to longing for simpler times and a simpler way of life.[4] Rolling Stone magazine remarks, "At this point, John Denver albums are as numerous as potted plants in the apartments of these urbanites, and both are symptoms of the same longing. The singer acknowledges his average listener in 'Fly Away'."[4]'. I wish anyone of you don't catch the flu, it's bad!~I thank you and do appreciate your listen and comments. Love, DEE xoxoxo~~@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@~~Edit-2/9/14--I added a photo of this majestic Cathedral in my photo's, under where it says Directories. It's 178 Ft towers and has three floors, yes, accompanied with elevators. I call it my second home.
