Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well. Here is a song that moved me when I saw John in concert. I got 5 free comp tickets to see him and we had front roll seats and he was approx. 100ft from us. The stage was near the floor, so he looked to us several times. I couldn't believe as he expressed that he was honored to meet me and vice versa. I just couldn't believe he said that. I shall never forget of what he said. I was pleased to meet and greet back stage. We talked for hours and had his wife beside him. We exchanged phone numbers and addresses. We kept in contact for several years. He spilled his guts out to at times and he cried. Anything that he ever told me will go to my grave with me. I know of artists that have said many things to me and always assured them that their secrets are safe with me for anything I've been told will go to my grave. I'm not one to gossip or tell others things within their lives. I'm not that type of Lady. I am dedicating this to my son, Bryan who passed away at the young age of 25 years old on Dec. 2, 2011 and to John died Oct. 12, 1997. He was always there for me when I needed guidance. Then learned of his death by another friend. At the end of the song in which I sang at my sons funeral you may hear me cry, because I just couldn't stop weeping after I sang. I love you my dear son, and love you to my dear friend, John. This song came from his album 'Higher Ground' in 1988. His wife, Lady Cassandra left John a few months after this song came out. He was a loner, and depressed over two of his ladies loved them, but left him. Because he had a different side of him, he drank to much. I remember the phone calls during the night while trying to console him. Then the next next day he couldn't remember our conversation. He did lose his pilots record due to his drinking, but still didn't listen, he went flying in his lite-aircraft plane 'feeling free and lite as a bird he'd tell me'. However, drinking became more obsessive and got the last phone call from our friend. I'll never forget that night and the night my son died.I do thank you for listening. It gives me much pleasure...Love, Mom/DEExoxoxo~~@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@~~ |
