I had not heard of this beautiful song until Jerry posted his recording on SS, and it resonated with me in such a big way I thought why not record it myself. Obviously, I don't have Jim Reeves' exceptional vocal capabilities, but I make no apologies for my version being similar to Jerry's in many ways, to the point where I transposed the song to D# - it does sound better in this key as well as being more to my vocal range. Jerry sings his version to the Chartbuster/Digitrax backing track, so I thought I'd try Karaoke Channel.
