Hi SS! I hope this finds everyone well. This is from Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt's musical "110 in the Shade". It was nominated for Best Original Score in 1964 when it was first released, but had the misfortune of opening the same year as "Hello Dolly!" (The Winner) and "Funny Girl". A local theatre company is staged concert of "contemporary classics" and this number and another one I hope to post later. The concert itself is supposed to be a showcase of great music after the Broadway's Golden Age in the 40's and 50's. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. |
