From my 2008 archives... and it was a major challenge, so much so that I re-recorded it 7 times in 2 weeks..until I thought ok, will go with this..Kate Bush's recording of it is 4 semitones higher..For those of you unfamiliar with the song, I suggest you check it out on youtube. The song remains in a high key throughout. This was recorded when I was just beginning to test the waters of my uppers. I am singing some harmony/backups that aren't in the original. I probably could redo it again as I know the song better now, but I decided not to.
"Wuthering Heights" is a song by Kate Bush released as her debut single in January 1978. It became a No.1 hit in the UK singles chart and remains her biggest-selling single. The song appears on her 1978 debut album, The Kick Inside. sleeve. "Wuthering Heights" came 32nd in Q magazine's Top 100 Singles of All Time, as voted by readers. It is also #13 on Rate Your Music's Top Singles of All Time.
