"Something's Got a Hold on Me" is a song by Etta James, released in 1962. It appears on her 1962 self-titled album Etta James and on her 1963 album Etta James Top Ten. Doi-Oing was the first artist to sample "Something's Got a Hold on Me" in 1991, then by electronic music artist Pretty Lights in his 2006 song "Finally Moving". In 2010, the song was covered by pop singer Christina Aguilera in the musical film Burlesque. Swedish DJ Avicii also sampled the track in his 2011 single "Levels". "Something's Got a Hold on Me" and "Levels" both were sampled in rapper Flo Rida's single, "Good Feeling". R&B singer Jessica Mauboy covered "Something's Got a Hold on Me" in 2013.
