Thanks to Jim for the backing! My high school did the play "Matchmaker" which is what the musical "Hello Dolly" came from. I was poor growing up but loved musicals, so I used to go to the library and check out all their musicals and tape them, and play them over and over and sing with them. So that's why I know so many of them so well now - a lot of them are memorized, even, like this one. I love this song - it's just so beautiful. Oh, and also "Matchmaker" was the biggest part I ever played in school. I played Miss Flora Van Husen. I pretty much had the 3rd act all to myself, aside from me and the "Cook". She is a very old lady. Her character does not appear in Hello Dolly! LOL! More than you probably want to know... anyone, hope you enjoy it and have a great weekend!! |
