Hey there, SS. I've been away for a short while, but I just caught up on the majority of my listens and comments due to a night of insomnia. I'm singing this one next weekend; a local theatre group is doing a staged concert of Sondheim's music. This one, in particular, is from his 1973 musical A Little Night Music. This is another one of those songs that I loved even before understanding the lyrics and more after coming to understand them. This was recorded in a key two semitones higher than the original.
