KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - DEE performs Lifted By Love on Karaoke Showcase - Hello everyone-hope you're well ;-) I'm not doing that well. So, I had sung this song a couple of years ago, but I just re-did it. My son helped me with the back track, I wanted a unique sound, we played around with different ex and here it is. I hope you all enjoy this one. I needed a 'pick up' song. The ones who have been reading what I'm going through-well-yes, lawsuit will be forth coming soon. I also found another eye surgeon who can 'repair' what the other doctor did and I will not be paying him for his huge mistake. Lady Connie asked on my last song, if there would be another patient that may have your lenses. I did respond to her on my last song. I remember a lady from across me couldn't wake up after surgery. I was afraid for her. I saw her at the doctor's office the other day, and Lady Connie, I do believe you're correct. After they put eye drops to dilate the pupils, we sat together and talked. She's the one who brought it up, that she, too cannot see very well, plus we both had the surgeries the same days. Jan.23 and Feb. 13. I told her about my eyes as well. We looked at each other and she started to cry, so I hugged her and we will inform the doctor together-she asked if she could help her (she's 76 years old and frail). I comforted her and they took her first to see the doctor, then she turned around and said; 'I want Denise to come in with me'...The nurse said, 'well the doctor we'll be looking at her eyes in a few minutes'. So, I and my son spoke up-little louder then normal tone. She asked us to stay right there for a minute. I felt so bad for that little Lady, so I held her arm and her face touched mine while crying. He came out of one room, he had eight rooms he goes to back and forth all freaking day. The nurse had informed him that we wanted to talk with him, he said; 'now I cannot see both of you at the same time, so Denise go sit back down over there and I'll be with you in a moment. The poor thing didn't want to let go of my hand, as she slipped away, they told me to go to room 7, with my son in tow. He finally came in and we had heard what that little Lady bug told him, thin walls. So, when he came in the room we were in, the first thing out of his mouth-'so what's up Denise'? We told him the same thing and mentioned that we truly believe he put the wrong lenses in our eyes and they were meant for her eyes and vice versa. He denied the whole matter. Then as we were leaving, we saw lovely, little Lady Pat on the way out-so I gave her a card that I carry with me, my lawyer's card. She couldn't stop thanking me. She asked if Mike could help her to her car, her son was in it and we explained what took so long and the wrong lenses. He said, 'I knew something had to be wrong, I've spoken to people and they're ok within a few days. Mike and I nodded our heads. I also informed her and her son, don't you worry about any expense, I'll take care of it. So, off to court we will go-maybe by then, I'll have new eyes, Lol. So, this song sure lifted my spirits and felt so good singing it again. I will keep you informed for the ones whom are interested. You know I started to write a book , eight long years ago, I had set a date of 2013. Well, I'm not done just yet. By now, we're calling it a Novel. LMBO ;-) Enjoy the pleasures of what life can bring, never give up hope, fight for what you believe in , and be optimistic throughout your life, I have and still do. I was told at 37 yrs. old, that I had maybe siz months to live- well, I changed my whole way of thinking and being very optimistic and think positive , ans I do smile everyday-even if I cry-my son comforts me. I lost my baby at the age of 25 last Dec.2, 2011, and I've been through the mill, some of you know of my illnesses and how strong my sons have always said. I turned 53 yrs. old in January and feeling better at times. Sure I have my days, don't we all. So, no matter what life throws your way, make the best of it-think differently in an opposite direction and I guarantee you, things will be better. My favorite quote is so true: 'It's not the number of breaths we take, but what takes our breath away' is all that matters. Have a great night-I have company (most of the time-Lol) and tonight my son is whippin' something up in the kitchen, I can hear the blender and it's a feel good night. We have the music playing, by my friends and Mike's and not only cooking (not I) they know the rules, bring what I don't have, cook, and clean up...and they all do-it's mostly men-pure platonic I will say. I seem to gravitate more towards men, I think it's because I was raised with three older brother's and they all, including my dad has been spoiling me all of my life and now I've turned the tables around and spoil them as well. Giving is my nature, and I am not really good receiving, I'd rather give-especially to the less fortunate--I'll leave that one for another day. I can't see for beans, but I hear, and talk, and sing, and my favorite part is my writing (esp. songs for many musicians)-In order to succeed in life, you must give of yourself and really mean it deep inside you, it's called being very passionate and also need compassion in which I have them covered...I do send much love to all of you :-) Love, DEExoxoxo~~@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@~~
