My favorite all time rock song.. I don't usually post 5 minute songs but the guitar lines in this are just too beautiful and I found myself getting lost in it, adding my own parts ( Ritchie Blackmore- please excuse me, I couldn't help it) I am singing background on this as the backtrack singer was light enough for me to fill in.
"Perfect Strangers" is a song by the British hard rock band Deep Purple. It is the title track of their 1984 album Perfect Strangers.
This song is about reincarnation. It's a conversation between someone's past life self and his/her today's self. The song tells about memories this person has from his/her past life, but they (past and present self) "must remain perfect strangers" to each other.
It is one of the few Deep Purple songs not to feature a guitar solo. Band guitarist Ritchie Blackmore has called it his favorite Deep Purple song. |
