Last evening on "The Voice" I heard this song performed by Nicholas David (a finalist competition singer) and Cee Lo Green (a professional singer & coach). I enjoyed the performance so much that I decided to give the song a "funky" try...LOL!!! "Play That Funky Music" was originally recorded in 1976 & quickly became a huge hit, reaching #1 on the Billboard charts for 3 weeks. The band was named Best Pop Group of the Year by Billboard, and received an American Music Award for Top R&B Single of the Year. I hope you enjoy my rendition. |
