KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Keepinitcntry performs Sister Christian MM on Karaoke Showcase - Night Ranger is an American rock band from San Francisco that gained popularity during the 1980s with a series of albums and singles. The band's first five albums sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. The quintet is perhaps best known for the power ballad "Sister Christian", which peaked at No. 5 in June 1984. Some interesting info on the hit Sister Christian was that it evolved from their drummer Kelly Keagy, who after hearing his sister Christy singing some lyrics ,he decided to take off with it during the making of the bands 1983 album "Midnight Madness". However once the rest of the band listened in to their liking, it was noticed that perhaps changing the lyrics from "Sister Christy" to "Sister Christian" would give the song more public appeal. As to their hunch, the song was a success. I'll be heading for work quite early on Monday, so this is my contribution to MM. Thanks to those who have time to listen. ~Mark~
