Released as a single in March 2012, this new composition, by Gavin DeGraw, got my attention right from the moment I first heard it with its Pop-funk/Alternative flavored vibe. The catchy chorus, IMO, has kind of a retro-Beatles sound (let me know if you agree). This particular recording is a VR adaptation of the original since the only Karaoke version I could find is truly an inferior version (I love the driving & soulful beat that comes through in the original arrangement).
As those who've listened to my subs in the past know, I take tremendous care in how I prepare my recordings. I feel that I do have a special talent as a singer who pulls-out all the stops whenever I perform a sing not only from a technical perspective, but, just as importantly, from a presentation/entertainment value (something most Karaoke singers don't have a clue how to capture and then deliver with conviction, to the listening audience). I ONLY want to make each sing my own (and better than the original if I'm fortunate enough to do so).
