I couldn't believe how high ranged this song is. Diana Ross had an amazing high pitched voice. I needed to bring this down two semitones to match my range and it worked well. I'm not entirely sure where I've heard this song before, but it sounds familiar to me for some odd reason. Anyway, this is a nice fun listen, Connie. Also, thank the editing software gods for the ability to alter the key! It's helped me sing some of my favorite songs as well. Thanks for sharing. -Jon |

Isn't it funny the way that happens sometimes? We hear something and think 'oh that sounds cool', but because it sounds so natural on the original singer's voice, we don't realize how high (or low) it really is until we try it ourselves! lol Anyway, sounds like you had fun with this, thanks for sharing it and if you're a mother, then happy mother's day to you as well. :) |
Reply: Thank you, syber. All the different manufactures make these backings different, too, and don't always use the same key as the original. Good thing there's a way to change the key when recording. :) Happy Mother's Day to you, too. |
