This is kind of an experiment...
This song was sung by actress Kristen Alderson on the daytime soap "One Life to Live" Jan 6, 2012, about a week before the show ended. Alderson played Starr on OLTL and is now on the soap "General Hospital".
You can see the video clip from the show on youtube.
Of course there is no karaoke backing track. So this is where the experiment came in. First I recorded the song from the video to .wav file using the program TotalRecorder. Then I used Goldwave to reduce the vocals. Kinda tough because the backing is very quiet except for her vocals.
Then I used Cool Edit Pro to raise the key a little. Oh, and I had to find the words to the song and really learn the song (I liked it but didn't KNOW it) and did multiple recordings before I finally got one I like okay. Whew!!
Anyway, hope you like it. Yes, it's a sad but hopeful song :)
If anyone can play piano, or guitar, or make midi's, I would love to re-do it with a real backing...
