To All The Rockers Out There: 2012's Coachella Music Festival may be history, but, at least at SS we've still got Metal Mondays! A Coachella favorite this year, here's an in-your-face, roof-quaking killer of a tune, by popular British indie-rock band, Kasabian (ok peeps, plug-in those headphones, if you've got 'em, and crank up the volume - LOL). "Shoot The Runner" is taken from their second album, entitled "Empire". The song was released as a single in Nov. 2006 and peaked at #17 on the UK Singles Chart. It's featured on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and also on the Saints Row series (video game) soundtrack, including the sports spoof movie, "The Comebacks". This track showcases the group's awesome skills, both, as musicians and lyricists who have a knack for delivering a catchy hook that stays with you long after the song ends (e.g., Kasabian won the 2007 NME Awards for Best Live Act). |
