Sorry I haven't had much time to listen to your guys' songs...I feel bad but I have had a hard time juggling everything lately.
I might be calling this guy about joining his band tomorrow...we'll see... wish me luck! :) I've been trying to get a band together for years and it always falls through because it's hard to get 3 or 4 reliable people together. I'm sure any of you that have tried this know what I mean.

Nice job on this...I like the way you controlled your vocals with this difficult melody. In regards to getting a band together I never had the problem with working with serious players & I've been in over 100 bands. You should probably focus on looking for a serious established band looking for a singer instead of trying to put one together...that's my 2 cents. |
Reply: Thanks, Steven! I have tried to find anyone but so far, no luck. I post flyers at the music and guitar stores here in town and I will get a few calls. Then sometimes I get a few interested people. We meet up, talk about the songs, do a little rehearsing...but then we are usually missing a bass player or something and then one thing or another happens (sometimes personality conflicts or just weird people) and people quit and then I am left with nothing. It's happened to me 3 times now! |

Hi Suzanne, First of all good luck with the gig option! This is 1 of my favorite Roberta songs that really requires sharp vocal skills to match her unique tone & vibrato. I think you did a lovely job with this, 1 of your best! :-) |
