NOT exactly alternative rock - but futurepop/industrial/ebm/electronic(all of which this falls under) don't exist in the genre list here. VNV Nation are one of my favourite bands - so when I realized I had some instrumentals a while ago it became my goal to record at least one. I had to cut the intro of this out to make it fit here - *sad* but here it is. Ronan Harris sings this on the low road (I wish I could have sung it the same as him.... it sounds odd to me in a higher voice) These guys are on my list of bands to see asap since I couldn't afford to go to Kinetik this year. Thanks to anyone who listens. :) |

Awesome stuff, Fiery! Good to see you back on the Showcase. (I'm still NOT back but oh well....was just looking around) Sounds great and nice to see some hard driving non-rock music here on the showcase. Great job! |

You always bring something "new" (well for me anyway) on the board of SS. I liked this from the start...music is great for sure...and your voice sounded perfectly fit for songs as these. Excellent work !! |

Hey Lisa! How's my favorite singer doing? I'd rather hear your lovely voice than the original, especially if it's in a lower register. As you know, I've always been partial to higher-pitched vocals, lol. Those crazy "robotic" backup voices were already on the instrumental track, right? Great vocals, great mix... a fantastic job all the way around! BTW, I'm glad to see you're still here... I have a couple songs you'd probably like, and they're better suited to this forum than the other one. Once again, excellent job! |
Reply: The crazy robotic voices were me too. I actually couldn't find the sort of vocoder I wanted so I ended up fking about in flanger settings for a while til I found something I liked lol. The original singer of this has one hell of a power low range, I didn't wanna butcher it with less than powerful vox. Thanks for listening Mark, glad you liked it :) |
