I just recorded this song today. This 1966 song, written by Strouse & Adams, is a relative light-weight lyrically, but the overall tune and feel is very up. If you appreciate luxury from time-to-time, then this song provides a release. Matt Monro is a master of expression, and I can only hope to approximate his style. Thanks, Jim, for providing the mp3 nonvocal recording for me to sing over. The original Monro recording is recorded in monoural, which is strange, considering that it was a 1966 recording. -- Donn |
