KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Mark Cheetah performs Hand Of Doom on Karaoke Showcase - Please forgive the tape hiss... most of this song was recorded in 1970. LOL! Actually, I'm serious... the backing track I used was an instrumental version recorded by the actual band as an "out take" or premaster mix. NOTE: this is another long Black Sabbath song, clocking in at over 7 minutes. I was SO thrilled to find the track, because I've always wanted to do it on karaoke, but it's a HUGE long shot to think that any karaoke company would ever produce this song. Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" album from 1970 is considered one of the definitive heavy metal albums of all time. It includes some of their best known signature songs such as "War Pigs," "Paranoid," and "Iron Man;" and also some lesser-known cult favorites like "Fairies Wear Boots," "Electric Funeral," and this song, "Hand Of Doom." War Pigs, Paranoid, and Iron Man are available on Sound Choice and other discs, and Fairies Wear Boots can be found on the Radio Starz label. But the two songs that I've REALLY wanted for a long time now are "Hand Of Doom" and "Electric Funeral." I was absolutely thrilled to find this "Deluxe Edition" Paranoid CD, which included three discs; the original album version of Paranoid, an enhanced DVD audio version, and the "alternate versions" disc, which includes different mixes, alternate lyrics, and most importantly... FIVE instrumental versions, including the two songs I've been craving for! I hope you like this one... thanks for listening!
