KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - Rising_Phoenix performs Phantom of the Opera on Singer's Showcase - First, I must offer a huge apology for even thinking of posting this,(its by far the WORST performance that I can remember) but I figure a bit of comic relief for you couldn't hurt. This was an attempt (an extremely feeble one at that) to sing the Phantom of the Opera duet using one voice and in only one recording (no dubbing over). I know you are probably gritting your teeth if you are listening to this, but I hope you can see the comedic value. I had to make one adjustment at the very end (couldn't sing the last high E), and I couldn't adjust the key down since the Phantom's part would be too low. Thanks for listening. Btw, anyone want to sing this as a true duet? Either part would be up for grabs.

TEFLON SINGER I wouold never diminish any attempt at a song, particularly one that is as challenging as the Phantom. I have heard you many times before and your pitch recognition ability and your voice are excellent. Write to me at elmnetwork@shaw.ca I want to share something with you! Keep up the musical enthusiasm. You are blossoming wonderfully!
Reply: Thank you so very much. I guess my vocal teacher's beatings are finally starting to work.

Connie This song was recently going through my head. Not one I'd try myself though. Wow, what a range you have doing both parts! I enjoyed it! Maybe you can resub it sometime with a higher volume. :))
Reply: Thank you so very much. I will probably re-record this fairly soon. You are so kind.

moony Hi Kristi..I have to agree with Joyce..wished it was recorded a bit louder, I could barely hear you. Nonetheless, you did a very pretty job..My favorite song from this musical...Have a great weekend!...Mona :)
Reply: Thank you so much. I had some real problems trying to record this, so I did the best possible. I'll see if I can re-record this at a bettr volume level.

Cantstopsinging Hi Kristy.. Welcome to Fun Friday.. I am really not familiar with this. I had to turn this up a bit to hear it. You got the lows and highs in there for sure.. it's like you're singing 2 parts, which to me is fun for sure. I like the way you broke out with a yelp about singing. You got so high on one note, my teddy bear came to life. Hey this is how I sound on my high notes with no comedy in mind!! LOLOL...Thanks for sharing this and I hope your weekend lightens up.. Joyce
Reply: Thank you. Actually this is written for two parts--- The Phantom and Christine in what is probably the best known song from "Phantom of the OPera". Thanks again for stopping by.
