Reply: LOL its pretty funny...Even though I missed the timing as it is in the original, I still kept it on beat, so it wasn't really obvious. Only someone who really knows the song well will catch it. Thats why I just let it go LMAO. I'm into Mother's Day week at the flower shop and am anticipating a Margarita Saturday night when the major rush is over (limited hours on Sunday). Absolutely no reason to redo this, Drea. I'm continually amazed by the strength and edge you have in your vocals. I know one thing...this to me was freakin' AWESOME!!! This is one that you feel to the bone and since I don't know the song YOU made that happen! :) |
Reply: Overall I was pretty pleased with this, and the timing errors were pretty minimal. I stayed on beat...it just wasnt the same beat as the original LOL. I decided I had better come in and finish my replies...I'm on the new computer now but have a lot of setting up to do yet. Reply: I'd love to sing this in a karaoke bar one night...I think it would go over really well. Thats the one big advantage to my recording methods...if I can do a one shot here, I can do it at my parties or at the bar too. This one is definitely going to come out to play LOL. vettelady performs Freaking Out on Singer's Showcase of Karaoke Scene Magazine Online: vettelady performs Freaking Out on Singer's Showcase - Happy Metal Monday everyone!! I didn't think I was going to make it...I had an impromptu karaoke session with a friend last night that lasted till about 4 a.m. Needless to say, it left me feeling pretty tired and, as for my singing, well...its ummmmmmm not good LOL. Now this song is a bit different for me as it is rap metal...something i've never done before. This needed some serious edge which I had "built in" from all the singing the night before, but the control was just not there, especially with switching between angry rap and singing, and doing it all in one shot (all my recordings are "live"). There are a couple timing errors, but I just didn't have it in me to re-do it LOL. Thanks to all who listen!! Hugsssss, Drea :) :)
