.: You Got Another Thing Coming :. dumbdrums Date Submitted:  2007-10-15 [Archive Date: 2008-01-13] Genre:  General Original Artist:  Judas Priest Additional Info:  Disc Mfg:    Disc #:   Description:  well here i am back on a metal monday poised in my library chair watching my time tick down..this band is another band that surprises me that noones done yet for metal monday..known as the godfathers of heavy metal, judas priest screamed vengeance throughout the eighties and are still touring today. i have a wonderful memory of meeting the singer Rob Halford..i was up in Phoenix watching some buddies of mine playing a packed show.as was customary, they invited me to sit in on a few songs with them (as did we when they were down in Tucson) so i hopped up on the stage and started adjusting the guitar the way i liked it, and the bass player came walking back to me by the amps and said we were doing some Priest..i said great what song and he said Another Thing Coming..the drummer clicked it off and the song began as i was still fidgeting around back by the amp to adjust some things....as the verse started , i remember thinking that i had never heard dave (the singer) sing so good, i finally turned around and headed toward the front of the stage where lo and behold stood Mr Halford himself ! It was a miracle i ever got through that song without screaming like a little girl who saw the beatles for the first time..i sat with Rob Halford after the set and we had a few drinks and he told some wild stories..very very cool guy and the most amazing thig is as he sang that song, his voice was the loudest and most naturally powerful voice i have EVER heard !
