KARAOKE SCENE MAGAZINE ONLINE! - oneofakind864 performs dont leave me this way on Karaoke Showcase - OK- this is probably going to go over with many of you like onions and chocolate. I have never quite figured out why "Disco" out of all the music in the world inspired such strong feelings. You either love it or hate it- but I don't know anyone who is ambivalent to it. I happen to be in the first category- It brings back warm memories of when I was an adolescent who couldn't wait to be old enough to go to places like studio 54(Of course it closed down before I actually WAS old enough Waaagghhhh!) I remember holding a either a spoon or a hairbrush for a mic and pretending that I was Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, or the lady who did this song-Thelma Houston. So if you don't like disco- move on to another sub- but if this genre brings back fond memories of the funkiest period in dance history- press listen and get yo boogie on! Disco never dies in my book!

ronny p You know I was young through all the disco stuff, I had to go to the kiddie clubs, I also belong to the first bunch you mentioned. You know it might look like I'm returning the curtousy of listening to your stuff as you did mine but, uhh, I can't seem to stop, your really great to listen to. Ronny P...

jbsinger And since there are no more to listen to, I will have to be happy with these few very memorable songs to make me happy. I have gone through your whole archive and I'm sorry to say I'm done. This was brilliant, but it was the end of the list. May I have more, please. Thank you for a lovely run of songs. bb
Reply: Aw shucks Barb- i really apperciate it! Don't know if I'll ever be as prolific a subber as you are GF- but I do have a duet with Dani slated to be the first thing I do when I get back in April. I'll have some serious catching up to do then too. I bet you'll have a whole new list by then so I'm planning on getting out my glass of wine and spending another lovely afternoon catching up with you! Thank you for listening to all my stuff. THAT is TRULY a complimant- especially from YOU. HUGS! Paula

krush'd_ice In the early 80's in LA we had our disco club "The Odyssey" in Hollywood - that was our Studio 54 and I danced to this song a lot!! I love disco and love when someone sings it as fantastically as you do - u r a delightful diva with a voice shiner than any mirror ball! - did that sound weird...well...you know me - anyway - LOVED this!!! - your fan always - Rob B-)
Reply: Rob I think that may be my favorite discoliscious comment ever("shinier than a disco ball") Im loving that! Thanks Man! Glad you enjoyed it- the back listen is much appreciated!
