I love the way you captured that sneering aura of punk. There are a couple of punk songs I haven't been able to try at karaoke yet, mainly "Punk Rock Girl" by the Dead Milkmen; I haven't heard the original but having the karaoke version I think I could fake my way through it. Wouldn't mind some Violent Femmes either. Good submission. |
Reply: Thanks Tom. I love music to the extent that it could be just about anything. I always liked this one from the first listen. It gave me goosebumps....A real "guy" song, gets the blood up and puts the slam dancing on the frontal lobe! |

Hey Jeff! I don't think I've heard this before, but have heard of the Pistols. It does sound very '80s though. The place where I worked in the '80s had music over the PA system all day and night, and it was mostly pop/rock stuff, and since I was always at work, that's what I heard mostly. You do have a talent for changing voice styles. When I try to change from my "Boss" sounding voice, it just sounds weird and nasally to me. lol. You've definitely conquered versatility man!! It'd be cool to see you "live". WTG on this one!!...........Perry |

I usually listen to anything alternative. I sure do know this song, great raw soundin....right up me alley!....russ |
Reply: I've always been alternative based, spending most of my 20's in dance clubs, 2-4 nights a week while going to college and working weekends at Advanced Micro Devices. I've seen some pretty weird stuff on the Austin scene, been involved in gang fights on the dance floor, etc. But...I like all music. There's only a few types that leave me a little cold. Thanks for the comments. I did this one with a hint of Brit in my voice and without and preferred it with. It sounds better that way. |

Dude I have just got back from listening to my son's thrash metal band...this is a ballad compared! I wanna know if you pogo dance? |
Reply: Starting a song with the words "I am an Anti-Christ. I am an anarchist" helped put the Sex Pistols in the limelight. Thrash music is very base material. More of an experiance than music at all. Never gonna see much thrash on karaokescene. (Don't know if that's good or bad but no one ever accused the Sex Pistols of sining ballads and they never will) |

Shunn performs Anarchy In The UK SEX PISTOLS on Karaoke Showcase of Karaoke Scene Magazine Online: Shunn performs Anarchy In The UK SEX PISTOLS on Karaoke Showcase - I've wanted to submit this for quite some time but I'm not sure how well punk music will do here. Certainly it was popular in it's time but karaoke is not well suited to this genera. For those who are excited to see this on the Showcase, enjoy. I enjoyed doing it. A great tune!
