auctionmusic Hi Cathi, this is sure an all time fav song for me, you really sing this so authentic soundin....I always liked the way the song talks about the Billie Joe suicide while everyone is sittin around eatin dinner, how its integratred together...russ

MorganLeFey Damn Cat where was I when you posted this? If ever there was a country song I enjoyed it is this one because it tells a story. Cat will you sub some more blues for me pleeeeeeze you have the voice for it. I am loving this

vettelady Hey Cathi - I managed to scrounge up some listening time today and am hunting around to see what I missed. So glad I found this...I even know this song LOL. This is by far the best rendition I've ever heard, and it definitely surpasses the original. What a wonderful birthday gift for Ritz!! Happy Belated Birthday to him!! I enjoyed reading others comments, and was so happy for you.You are a known act here folks wanna hear hillbilly!!! As for Authur, gosh that guys heart is so sweet.Even I'd give him a hug!!! LOL .Such a sweet sing in his dedication.Bobby Gentry made this song a hit to millions, me included. I'd have to say you can't deny that expressive style of yours, and how appealing we all love it.
