In my younger days one of my more grandiose (nice word hehe) dreams was to have this song on my very first album as a recording artist. Sigh, to be able to dream like that again!! Smokey Robinson wrote some fantastic songs and this one's gotta be my all time fave of his. Kim Carnes did a cover of it in the 80s so some of you might remember it. Wow Cathi, that was amazing! You sounded just like one of the girls out of Motown! Your voice just works with everything. I've heard this one before, just didn't know the name of it. Reply: When I was growing up I listened to sooooooooo much Motown!! I remember doing routines along with the Supremes, Ronettes, Martha & the Vandellas, Temptations, even the Jackson 5 lol. I guess it's all the soul this music has, it's just ingrained in me. Glad to know you enjoyed this Perry; who knows, it might just end up on an album yet.
