A couple weeks ago I asked Rush if he'd be interested in singing a duet with me. He in turn asked if I know this song as he'd been working on some harmonies for it and I jumped all over it!! Recorded my part and sent him as a guide then had him send me his raw vocal so I could mix all tracks equally and RUH ROH!, the tracks didn't sync up!! Welllll, being a stubborn hillbilly I sure wasn't gonna let that stop me, no sirree Bobarino!! I sat myself down and in the process of synching the tracks I stumbled upon a new beginning and liked it so much I decided to go with it (with Bill's approval of course!). With a bit of splicing and some creative editing this is the finished product. Bill's harmonies added a whole new dimension to the song and I for one think it sounds fantastic as a duet! Bill, thank you so much for doing this with me--you are FABULOUS!! I'll get my head to thinkin' on the next one for us to tackle right away (your son's idea is fabulous, I think we should do it!!!!). Thanks to everyone who takes the time to listen and comment from the both of us. And yes Bill, it'll be up and waitin' on ya when ya get back lol. Happening Listening!! |
