Well, I still seem to be in a Old Country mood, and it really got me to thinking and remembering. This song brings me back to when I was just a little girl. We always had Country music playing all the time. And when it wasn't coming from a radio or our stereo, it was coming from us. ....My Dad loved music, as did his 11 other siblings and almost every weekend, we would all get together for a musical evening. .....There was always a fiddle, a banjo, three or four guitars, and of course a few mics...(which we all fought over..lol)... oh and almost forgot...someone always played the spoons.. .....This particular song was the first one I ever sang into a mic, I was probably around seven. We had the BEST times back then... ..have to admit I shed a few tears while recording this because the sweet memories came back so strong. My Mom and Dad are no longer with me, but live on in my heart. This song is dedicated to my Dad for instilling in me the love of music, something that makes my life so much richer and makes me so happy every day..... thank you, Daddy :) |
