This is song 4 of 4 in my John Lennon experiment. I'm most likely gonna so about six more and make a CD for my uncles, who are bigger Lennon fans than I am. This song was a little closer to home for me, because my dad used to sing this to me when I was little, so I had a hard time getting thru it. I had to several takes to get it right. Hope ya like :) If you have any suggestions for more Lennon tunes, please lemme know. I'm not sure where to go next. Thanx again to Gail for the great backing track!! On a side note, I know I've used some strange effects on my vox with these Lennon songs. I've been playing with the Rotary Leslie effects like John loved to use. I think the sound is pretty true to what John was doing back in the 70s. |
